Build update has brought with it some issues.
- Tiles not populating
- UI lagging when scrolling
- Playback stutters
- Sound drop
- Occasional pixelation
Pretty sure Sky are aware and will either release an update or rollback. Pity other than Prime it has been relatively stable of late 🫤

Sky Stream Latest OS version?
This is something I always get a little confused by. According to the official Sky website these are the latest build versions
QSE036.023.00P or QS037.045.01P or QS038.023.00P
My build version is QS037.58.00P with a UI version of 3.268.1, Hardware model IP061 ef
So very similar but not exactly the same. I have to say my version runs very well so I'm not complaining, I am just curious, am I on the latest version, and the best Hardware version?
Cheers

There doesn't really seem to be a 'latest' version of anything right now, and it's impossible really to say that there's a 'best' version of the puck hardware too.
The main thing is if you have a functional puck that is working as well as you hope it would then just don't worry about version numbers or hardware variants.
Customers seems to have wildly varying experiences of Sky Stream using multiple different software versions, build numbers and UIs, so it's not really worth worrying about.

Re: Sky Stream Latest OS version?
@Angel_Aka Thanks for your help. I wouldn't say I'm worrying about it but I was just a bit confused but you have helped clear that up. It used to be one software version, which was gradually rolled out to all subscribers, so you knew when you were on the latest version or the previous version awaiting an update, but this seems to have got confused recently with I suspect new versions being release and then withdrawn resulting in different ones having different versions. Would that be a correct assumption?

Indeed. It seems to be somewhat random as to which version of software gets 'assigned' to your puck. It's perhaps related to specific internal chipsets in variants of the puck hardware. They have been manufactured in such huge quantities over several years that it would be impossible for them to all have identical internal architecture. Some components might require different drivers or firmware updates of their own, hence the need for multiple software variations, sent out in batches to customers.
The key thing is just to be thankful that you have a functioning puck.

Re: QS040.040.00P Issues
Yeah I noticed some unusual lagging on the home screen when I turned on the other day and instantly suspected the puck had been updated overnight. Went to settings and saw that indeed it had updated to QS040.040.00P. If I ever get lagging or other glitches on an update which is quite rare, I just turn off the puck. Pull the power cable out the back and leave it out for a minute. Then plug back in and when it starts up again all is usually well again, which it was for me with this update.

Re: QS040.040.00P Issues
Navigating the menu is like wading through treacle today 🫤. Powered off and on but no response desperately needs a rollback or update, I have more blank tiles than populated ones 😳

Re: QS040.040.00P Issues
It's great but not of course to have this issue confirmed elsewhere. Regards CW same here too. I've trawled the net and apparently Sky are aware and rolling back but of course nothing mentioned here. It beggars belief that this is the main forum and Sky can't even be bothered to post issues and keep paying customers up to date. Of course if rollback is happening we all know it can take weeks.
Missing tiles ok you can get around it but spurious requests for a pin and stuttering video with stammering audio makes it unusable. Maddening!
Apple it is again until this is resolved just got Now £3.99 with a free month UHD Boost but of course football this weekend!!!
I see it marked as answered when all it's been is read - give up!
I found this is it correct appears Sky already know

Blimey I didn't get any of that with this update. Just a bit sluggish in moving through home screen. Which as I wrote above fixed straight away with a pulling of the power cable (not just turn on and off) for a minute, then back in. You could also try a software restart from settings too. But as I say I didn't have all these missing tiles, stuttering video etc. Just a slow scroll up and down home screen.

Re: QS040.040.00P Issues
Thanks for your info. As always not everyone appears to get the same issues. I'm not going to reset I have powered off at the mains but no difference.
As I posted luckily I have Apple TV too on two of my main TV's so I'll use them.
It's 5 years now and still issues i came back to Sky because the costs were favourable but actually just paying that little bit more for stability is going to be the way forward.

Re: QS040.040.00P Issues
Just to add to this, i definitely started to see a lot of blank tiles on my Glass from yesterday, which i believe only fairly recently got updated to QS040.038.
Thankfully thats the only new issue i've come across so far and i haven't noticed the other problems than @Gincap has listed.
Funnily enough, my puck on SQ040.040 doesn't currently exhibit the blank tile problem, but that does also have a different UI version and platform version (3.277.0 and 8.4p40s1 for the puck and 3.268.1 and 8.4p38s1 on my Glass).
