Puck turns off overnight

Is it normal for the sky puck box to turn off overnight and not stay in standby? When the tv is switched on next day it says no connection and we have to keep pressing ok. All the right settings are turned on.

Hi @Maggie321 if you go into the Settings on your puck and select Start up and Standby, check to make sure Networked standby mode is set to ON. If its set to OFF, switch it over to ON and then restart the puck by using the option Restart Device option under Settings -> System Management -> Resets and Updates

With regards to going to standby - thats normal procedure, if you leave the Sky Stream puck on idle for a length of time it will turn off and go into standby mode, however what it shouldn't repeatedly do is complain about not having an internet connection everytime you wake it up in the morning.

The network stand by mode is set to on so don't know why there's no connection when you turn on the tv. It is a new LG I don't know whether that has anything to do with it. Not happy with Sky up to now

Some other things to consider:

Do you have your puck connected by wifi or ethernet?

Turn wifi OFF under Network if connected via ethernet.

We have seen some issues with Sky Glass TVs on ethernet, dropping their connection, not often Sky Stream.

If on ethernet, is it connected direct to router or connected to a mesh device or an ethernet unmanaged switch?

The Sky Stream puck, should just drop into standby mode at all times, unless the power cable of the Sky Stream puck is turned off at the power socket.

When turning on the Puck from overnight standby or from a short standby during the day you should see the white light at the base of the puck after a short time light up, before it starts up your TV to the correct hdm port, then display the Sky lStream puck home menu.

The puck light isn't on when you switch on the tv. It just comes up with no connection and do you want to turn on your top box so we press ok a couple of times and then home and it eventually connects
