I just went and switched on puck this morning at 1100 seems fine all day until 330 to noticed I've got a blue screen and looked at the puck no white light on so I assumed it's turned itself off which I can't understand why it would do that unless it's on a set timer so when it's ready it will switch off but I didn't see anything I noticed it when there was no sound

If you just leave something playling, like a live channel, it will turn itself off after a couple of hours if you don't pick up the remote. A rather useless messages appears on the screen saying the puck will turn into stnadby mode if you don't pickup the remote within the next minute. It would be useful if you got a longer warning when it going to do that.

Re: Puck turned off on a timer
Its a shame there isn't the option to customise the auto-turn off however its another one of those power/energy saving features built into the device to comply with various international legislation.
