I get that they have energy saving settings but trying to watch a game of football on the colour picks button on the Sky sports channel and my puck tries to turn itself off twice. That's crazy. Can I do anything to stop it?

Like you I find in very frustrating so I tend to hold the remote or at least pick it up periodically. Putting a programme on pause is even worse and only gives you 10 minutes before the puck shuts down.
You are certainly not alone in complaining about it but unfortunately the Sky pucks are used in various European countries as well as USA and Australia (under different names) so they have to comply with the relevant legislation.

Check the sleep/timer settings under Start Up and Standby, in case it's set to 1 hour.

Thanks. They're set to off so don't think it's that. It's not doing it now I'm watching something else. Wonder if it's an issue on that particular viewing schedule.

Just before it turns off there is a message on the TV screen which lasts about a minute but is easy to miss. The message tells you to pick up your remote and move it about (I actually press a button). This lets the system know you are there and watching the TV.

Yeah I've seen it, but after 1 hour? Seems a bit excessive. That's not even long a bough to watch most programmes lol.
as I say above, it doesn't happen all the time though. Just when I was watching a football match on the colour buttons where you choose the match you want to watch. Strange.
