New to streaming. Lots of problems. Latest is that the programmes keep stopping at the end of each scene, the screen goes black, and I have to restart it to continue with the next scene

How fast is your broadband? Are you using the HDMI cable that came with the puck? Is it connected directly to the TV or through a soundbar?

It's the new super fast, mega quick, lightening speed one, no different to the landline in reality, which ive just had removed, to my regret. Yes I've plugged the right thing into the right place. I know this because I had one of the sky chaps on the phone for an hour and forty minutes the other day, checking everything

Oh yes, and it's connected directly to the TV.

Make sure that WiFi is turned off on the network settings on the TV. It can sometimes randomly turn back on, even when connected via Ethernet.
You need to check the speed that's actually being received by the TV which will be different to what arrives at your broadband router.
To find the speed, open the Netflix app, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Maverick53 If by chance this is only happening when watching programmes on theCh44 app then this has happened to me from time to time. I think it is something to do with the add skipping and if I press the right button on the remote it jumps to the end of the adverts and the programme restarts.
This only happen to me on the Ch4 app

Thanks for your reply, but it happened when I was watching an episode of Foyle's War which I think was on ITV. I'm not at home right now, but it shouldn't be happening at all!

Correct. If your puck is connected to your router via Ethernet then turn WiFi off.

OK, seems odd because ive not been asked to do this before, but I'll give it a try. Thanks

No, that didn't work. Wouldn't let me get on to anything
Never mind. I'll ring Sky help and waste some more time with them...
Thanks for trying though
