Your puck software version firmware is fine, a new firmware is roll8ng out this month in phases to customers.
Try doing this, whether you have done something similar or not.
Put the puck into standby.
Remove the power cable from your puck from the plug socket or switch it off at the socket if your socket has a switch and leave off for at least a few minutes or more.
Put the puck cable power back in and allow the puck to come back on.

Re: Please wait homepage not loading
I rang sky they said on the phone there isn't anything wrong with puck but they said it's down to having a slow Internet connection so it takes a long time to speed up just slow at times but he did suggest a speed upgrade to another broadband package but there isn't an lot they could do for that as I'm.on the current package so they can't do much about that to get it moving faster there not saying the puck is faulty or anything there is no fault so everything is working as it should be just its slow at times

It sounds like they're just trying to upsell you onto a faster broadband connection. The speed you have is adequate for Sky Stream but ideally the service would be better if you had a faster fibre connection. It's a definite down side of Sky's whole streaming platform in that it needs a constant connection to Sky's servers - very little is stored on the Stream puck itself so everything needs to be accessed via the server.
If your broadband speed cannot be improved for the foreseeable future but you want to have a full streaming TV service then you may be better off using a streaming device which stores apps locally and doesn't rely on the server connection. A Firestick, Roku or Apple TV 4K box will allow you to download apps of your choosing to the device itself. You can get the NOW app for live and on demand streaming of Sky channels and use iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and My5 for live and on demand free-to-air TV.
If you want to stick with Sky Stream then you'll probably just have to get used to the lag you experience, or do everything you can to improve your bandwidth. Powerline adapters so you connect to your router over ethernet may help a little.
