@lettice I saw the pixilation at exactly the same time last night as someone else on here on Sky Sports Main Event UHD so that to me suggests it is not individuals WiFi. Out of curiosity as you always claim never to see it yourself when you watch TV are you always on these forums or others and on your phone or laptop at the same time? As I've said many times with these cases blink or look away for a moment and you might miss them .

It could be a case of that, you never know.
Or I've just been lucky.
I do watch a lot of live Sport, like been watching the cricket this morning and have seen no glitch.
Had a couple of comfort breaks, made a coffee and yes web searching a little.
How often do you see it?
Just for some kind of test, if you see it, can you rewind on the live channel and still see it?
Or on seeing it, can you change channel go back to the original channel, do a watch from start and still see the glitch. That may suggest its a broadcasting issue with the live stream.
If so, perhaps next time do a flag on here the next time you see it and others can check and see if they see it too.
I feel for you getting this as it must be annoying.
It could be happening for a number of reasons.
Interference (much as the answer post here suggests as one workaround and Sky not replicating it) can come in many forms, so some may have a similar problem, some may have wifi or household interference issues. Could even be a faulty batch of pucks.
It's possibly a tricky one to work out.

It's definitely still there if you rewind. Just had it happen on TNT Ultimate during the Brighton game
So it's not even just Sky channels

@FaviousM Agree 100%. It's happened to me. It's pretty obvious to me and many others that there is a software issue within the puck and the only people that can fix it is Sky
24 Aug 2024 01:15 PM
Yes I was wondering if it might be the puck itself alright.
Part way through the football last night, and after multiple of these glitches, I wanted to go check the settings and maybe reboot the puck, when hit home and got to the menu it was quite laggy for 5/10 seconds before it settled down. Though maybe that was just total coincidence
It's annoying because up until maybe 3/4 weeks ago, the only issue I had with the service was that audio sync problem

I might be wrong but there seems too many people suffering with same issues
Sky say it's a compatibility issue between the puck and Hyperoptic (broadband) but if people on here are not with this broadband provider then that can't be the cause and the only answer is the software for the puck as this is the common factor for all the issues and for all of us

Can you get a screenshot of it from rewinding please.
With date and time on screen by pausing the screen with the remote button.
Think it may be a good idea doing that going forward for a few examples and see if there is a pattern, what do you think?
24 Aug 2024 01:24 PM
@lettice Don't think that's the answer. With all the current issues and I myself have provided photos for the other issues and this hasn't work. The theme now seems to be that Sky need to do a software issue for the puck and that will hopefully fix everyone's problems with all the issues.

@lettice Yes it repeats pixilation/green flash on rewind. It also repeats on other pucks if the show is able to be restated from the beginning of live broadcast (and doesn't restart as on on demand version of the show - no problems with any on demand content) Only happens live broadcast on SKY branded channels. Last nights UHD pixilation was on box connected via ethernet, no WiFi involved.

I've seen it today on TNT so not limited to Sky channels, have also seen it on non-sports channels too. Nat Geo, Discovery Science etc but nowhere near as often
24 Aug 2024 01:37 PM
@FaviousM Seen it today on TNT sports ultimate plus sky sports main event UHD as well
24 Aug 2024 02:38 PM
Sky sports Football HD
26 seconds gane time there was an audio glitch
36.09 pixelation
60.54 pixelation
And no! It's absolutely not my wired gigabit fibre to the premises broadband

Thanks for that and the times. Very useful.
Ive just done a watch from start on that channel and see it.
Must admit, assume I've been lucky in my watching recently and not seen anything like that recently on live sport.
I do not have that many comfort breaks away from the screen, honest 😀
If we can have a few more please, on another channel, sports and some other non sport linear channels over the weekend and if I am around or another can do so, I will screenshot at the time, like below ( with a time match timestamp or the trick play timestamp) and I will get this passed on in our closed area.
Will need a few more examples though. Please no video of the issue, as it's harder to pass on.
Like I say this is not always a hard one to prove ( as some may have local network issues and be having a similar issue, but in my and some of your cases agree it's looking like some kind of broadcasting issue), but needs some multi user testing and logic to create a theme.

Just had another one on the cricket on Sky sports main event. Sorry didn't manage to pause it or take a photo. I know that's not helpful, but like I said earlier I have sent lots of photos on emails and it doesn't make any difference at this stage. What we need Sky to do is simply a software update. This will then surely fix the many issues and it will clear everything up with regards pixelation / crashing and pausing of the puck etc

I'll try and grab some shots of the ones that will presumably happen during the Villa/Arsenal game if I can
On a side note, watched almost all of the City/Ipswich game on Premier Sport (which is an ROI only broadcast I believe) with zero issues, only saw 1 issue during the game on TNT ultimate earlier but regular enough issues on Main Event UHD and F1 UHD today
