Paramount + sky stream

Has anyone had an answer as to why even after signing up to paramount + we can't log on to it using sky stream

@Brummie73 what error are you getting? Are you able to successfully login to Paramount Plus on another device?

I'm signed in no problems, I just used my email and password.

@Brummie73 have you also tried unplugging the sky stream for a couple of minutes to reboot it and also trying an app refresh.

 

Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > refresh apps. This process is not instant and is carried out in the background so don't expect an instant solution. This process can take up to 24 hours to complete in the background.

I have very recently joined Sky Stream and have a package with Cinema that is supposed to include Paramount+, however, try as I might, I am not able to activate this.

I have followed the ‘Get Paramount+’ instruction, provided on screen; using ‘Your Products>App subscriptions>Current’ I get to ‘Paramount+ monthly’, which shows “£0 a month as you have Sky Cinema”, but when I try the ‘Activate subscription’ button it simply takes me to the ‘Link a Paramount + account’ page to use the QR code.

This does not work as going to the Paramount page will not let me proceed without starting a monthly/annual subscription by agreeing to make payments.

I have called Sky for help (twice) but they insist nothing is wrong, that I have to use the ‘Link a Paramount + account’ page and use the QR code.  Do I simply give up?

Sounds about right if you don't currently have a paramount + account. You have to create one first for which Paramount require your billing details then once linked with your Sky account, Sky essentially take over the billing and sat to Paramount you don't need to charge this customer as they are already paying for it via Sky.

 

Paramount require payment details on every account (you should be able to create your account with a 7 day trial so paramount won't bill you immediately). They need the payment details so they can charge you should you cancel Sky Cinema and then not inform paramount you are cancelling the paramount plus account.

Ok, that makes a lot of sense.  Maybe the Sky support team should be made aware of this.
