No WiFi on start up Sky Stream
Hello
So I knock my sky stream off and leave it for about ten minutes.
I re start the streaming hub and the main sky stream screen flashes on after start up for a split second before the WiFi connection page appears prompting me to check the connection I checked the network connection which is ethernet wired connection and press the home button and I get back to the main sky stream menu.
I have checked the ethernet ports and tried the cable in a different port nothing has changed and still having the same problem.
Sky are sending a replacement puck to see if it is faulty.
Have anyone had any issues like this previously and how you over come them.
Current Settings are
Network/ Network connection - WiFi - Off
Startup - network standby mode - On
Overnight power saving - off
Sleep timer - off
Any help or advice would be great

Re: No WiFi on start up Sky Stream
Just discovered this post and I have exactly the same problem. This started when I decided to have an ethernet connection for a faster and more stable connection as I was having reliability issues with wifi only connection.
Any updates on this, are people having the same issue?

Just to make sure, as yiu mention using etherent.
Have you turned wifi of in the Sky Stream puck settings?
Might be worth doing a network settings restart, setting as ethernet, making sure wifi is turned off.
Then do a settings restart, as we have found from offs that doing a settings restartbetter does a force set of the wifi off settings.

Re: No WiFi on start up Sky Stream
Have reset settings as you suggested with wifi off. Still starts as before and takes about 20-30 secs to connect to ethernet which you can see if you select settings-networt whilst it does this. Worth noting that ethernet connection is via sky max pod which gives a better and faster connection once up and running. Not sure if this is the issue, it would be good to power up witnout that wait for connection to ethernet.

Kind of sounds like that pod is maybe coil somehow releasing the Ethernet connection.
Just to make sure, is the ethernet cable direct to the pod or is it going through an ethernet switch. These sometimes can cause dropout connection issues and it's always best to use an unmanaged ethernet switch.
Is there anyway you can temporarily test an Ethernet cable direct from the Sky Max hub to the Sky Stream box?

Re: No WiFi on start up Sky Stream
I've had this issue since joining Sky a week or two ago. I originally had my living room puck connected via Wi-Fi and my bedroom pucks via Ethernet. My living room puck would throw this error up on screen every morning after being on standby overnight. I decided to run an Ethernet cable to my living room puck and since doing so, I've encountered this error only once since doing so. I've configured my puck (via my router) with a static IP, disabled IPv6 and set it as a high priority device and so far it hasn't happened again.
My pucks are all configured with the following settings:
- Wi-Fi - Off
- Network standby mode - On
Router? Two TP-Link Deco BE65’s (v2 / Firmware Version: 1.3.2)

Re: No WiFi on start up Sky Stream
Thanks for the advice.
Unfortunately not possible to tempory test with a direct ethernet connection as puck and router are in different rooms.
Ethernet cable is direct to the pod. I think you are correct that this is a droput issue on the pod. Also not using ethernet switch.
Maybe it's something I live with or return to wifi only?

Re: No WiFi on start up Sky Stream
Hi,
That sounds interesting. How did you change those settings? I don't seem to be able to access my router in my browser using 192.168.0.1
