New Sky OS 2.0

Hi, I have 4 puks and everyone of them has the same issue as above, whereas when you intially power up the puk you cannot watch live TV due to a technical fault. The only way to resolve this, is to restart it using the settings menu.

Other than that my intial impressions are that ithe OS is an improvement in the look and feel, and I don't seem to have to press as many buttons to get where I need too.

Another issue. You can't look through channels without going to the TV guide. So before when you press select and then up and down it would go through the channels without turning over. Now it's more like a browser. If you press selectnĵ

Trying to hide the TV Guide behind cruft is typical because of the assumption that everything is streaming nowadays so who cares about TV. Well, many people still do, it turns out! Glad they've saw sense on the matter, even though it forced me to use favourites which is arguably the better system for channel management!

Just attempted to watch programs from my watchlist and it comes up that is has not been possible to launch. I have had to go into the app itself to then locate again and play from there.

Just out of curiosity, what criteria made people eligible/get selected to take part in the SkyOS Beta? Or was it just a case of Sky putting names in a hat, and pulling out an x amount of names? Not literally of course lol.

Can play stuff from watchlist but still no live tv when switched on unless going into settings first, has happened twice today and starting to get frustrated, think a phone call might be necessary to sky.

Beta is beta. This is exactly the type of risk you take by opting into a closed beta.

If you're in the beta program calling Sky will achieve nothing, I did post early in this thread that if Sky is your only TV access do not sign up. Early beta testing is fraught with issues that's the nature of the beast. Sadly you will be stuck with what you have until the tech team work through issues. Be prepared as some are resolved others will arise it's going to be a rollercoaster for a while yet.

Perhaps you can request to leave the beta program but that's up to Sky best read your agreement and NDA

@Gincap Stop scaremongering within the terms and conditions it clearly states that you can withdraw from the Beta at anytime and sky will revert you to the current non beta os

A call to Sky will not resolve any Sky OS 2.0 technical issues you encounter. For those type of issues if you call Sky you will be redirected to the article below or this thread.

The reporting for all Sky OS 2.0 technical issues is as mentioned in the  answered post on this thread.

Sky are reading all the Sky OS 2.0 technical issue reports within this thread.

If you feel the trial is no longer for you, you can leave the trial, details within this Sky 2.0 article.

No scaremongering wasn't aware so that's fine. Just a suggestion to check.

One to add, 

Holding right or left on the TV Guide isn't working to skip forward/back days. It's a little bit of a hassle to have to go all the way through the days as you cannot get to the day selector any other way if you are for example looking at tomorrow morning.
