I currently have netflix and pay via PayPal, I just got my sky TV puck thing setup and installed but when trying to get netflix to work it keeps asking me to change my payment method to sky .
I do not want to do this. I have netflix, and I want to use it on the sky thing I do not want to mess with the payment and I don't want to have to subscribe twice.
On everything else I have ever had to use, I just sign in and it works .
Is there away around this or will I need to reconsider sky TV?

Netflix is included as part of your basic Sky Stream subscription, so you are already paying twice - once with PayPal, once again with your Sky Stream subscription.
By allowing Sky to take over your billing for your existing Netflix account, Sky will pay Netflix out of your Sky Stream subscription payment, rather than Netflix charging your PayPal account. Everything else stays the same: same Netflix username, password, watchlists, viewing history, user profiles etc. You can still watch Netflix using the same account on a phone, a tablet etc.
If you want to use a Netflix tier higher than the basic-with-ads, you can pay step up to a higher tier using either My Sky on your phone/tablet or via My Sky on your Stream puck and pay the difference via your Sky bill.
If you decide to cancel your Sky subscription, you can go back to paying for Netflix via PayPal, a credit card etc.
The only difference with allowing Sky to take over your Netflix payment is that you cannot add on for password sharing with another household.

So could I change to have sky look after the payments to get the app working then in netflix change the payment back to PayPal?
The reason is I pay for netflix by my partner pays for sky. We don't want to change that that arrangement, I do appreciate that a basic netflix comes with sky but we have the ultra HD and happy to ignore the "sky" netflix account altogether.
Thank you for your quick responses

No. The way this works is that the first Netflix account you signed into on your Sky device will automatically be linked and that will tell Netflix to change the billing over to Sky.
If you want to not use the free Netflix you get with Sky and continue to pay Netflix separately then you either cant use the Netflix app on Sky or you need to create a new Netflix account and use that to link to Sky, so essentially paying for Netflix twice (albeit one is essentially paid for via your Sky sub).

I have a similar issue where I have setup house hold account on my Netflix account for my dad to use on his sky q and this was working. However now it's insisting sky takes over the billing and I do not want this! Surely the is a way to allow this as stated above this has been working for over a year
