Image quality on Netflix August 2025

I'm getting very poor image quality on any Netflix program flicking images video judder ghosting etc . I've got prime , Apple , and Netflix channels. Netflix is the only one that seems to be experiencing the problem. Weird thing is I have a second stream  box and that one is fine

We've raised it with our support teams to investigate and will update this thread when we have more information.

 

As mentioned in the thread, the workaround of restarting the puck seems to resolve the problem in the meantime, however we accept this is far from ideal.

 

I'm going to mark this post as the current answer, so that everyone has the most up-to-date information.

I watched the new Jim Jeffries special yesterday and the picture was awful, smeared all over the place.

Tried reloading the Netflix app no dice. Then reset the streaming box by turning it off for 30 seconds . it was a bit reluctant to restart but when it did Netflix came back in full strength HD . Not sure why just Netflix was effected but it definitely cured the problem.

Netflix picture quality

On sky stream for the last week every time I go into Netflix the picture quality is rubbish. Only thing that resolves it is to go into settings and restart sky box. 
its annoying but not half as annoying as trying to actually liaise with a Sky human being. I am beginning to rethink my Sky contract is they can't even be bothered ti have humans on phones

Sky Stream blurred Netflix

On Sky Stream, the quality of picture on Netflix is poor but when using Netflix on our smart tv the picture is better. This has only happened the past few days. This is only happening with Netflix.

Have moved your post to this similar ongoing issue thread.

 

Can you try as mentioned in above answered post that helped with the problem, by doing a Sky Stream restart;

 

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Netflix Resolution Sky Stream

Is anyone else experiencing issues lately with the resolution on Netflix? For a year it has been totally fine but within the last few days the resolution is shockingly bad and not watchable. Restarting Netflix doesn't work and the only thing that seems to help is unplugging the box and restarting.

 

Any ideas?

Been having the same issue. 
only way I've found to sort it is to restart the puck from settings menu. 
seems to resolve the streaming quality in Netflix. 

I've tried a hard reset of the puck and that did not work though. 

weird thing is I have 2 pucks and it is only one of them that is having the issue. 

have Sky acknowledged anything yet - it has to be something to do with the puck software given that it isn't an isolated incident.

The advice the other day to fix Netflix was to do the usual power off the puck at the wall for a minute then reboot. This should help with clearing the cache and reconnecting to Sky's servers to improve general streaming too. 

Worthwhile checking your broadband speed by running a network check from the get help menu on the Netflix app.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem with all three of my sky pucks, I'm having to restart them everyday to watch Netflix as the quality of picture is so bad it's unwatchable!!

Netflix glitching out.

Hi Guys are any of you still having problems with Netflix glitching out. I just reset the app, no joy, but when I reset the box it works and also when I reboot the apps. It doesn't glitch when playing on my iPad, iPhone or LG Smart TV, only sky stream. It has only played up since engineers were fitting fibre into the junction in the pavement outside my house. Could this have done something, or is it just Netflix, as some people have experienced issues with it on other streaming platforms.

I posted a question about thi, but I've just seen this post and would like to say I'm having the same issues with my sky stream. It doesn't affect anything except Netflix.
