Hi I have been trying to get hold of someone that would be able to help to get an extension on my bill

Sky only offer payment holidays on credit agreement payments and not for monthly subscription services. Ultimately not paying the bill when requested will add late payment fees and cause services to be restricted until payment is made. If you pay by direct debit, you have a 10 day grace period as if the direct debit fails it will be retried 10 days later before any services are restricted.
