Is the noise coming from the box or through the TV speakers? Does it happen in specific apps or is it just pausing live TV? Have you tried unplugging your puck for a few minutes and trying again? Does it still happen?
Definitely not normal. You can give Sky a call (we are fellow subscribers) and they can arrange a replacement or I can escalate your post to Sky staff, but understanding the issue and what troubleshooting you have tried already would be useful.
