Before you make the switch to Sky Stream make sure you do some research as it's a very different system to Sky+ and Sky Q.
Sky Stream relies entirely on you being able to provide a fast and stable broadband connection for the Sky Stream puck, the replacement for your Sky+ or Sky Q box. It does not record, it streams everything via your broadband connection. It's entirely self-setup with no engineer support and can require the customer to do more troubleshooting than you would with the satellite service.
Also make sure that all the channels you like to watch are available on Sky Stream because there are still quite a few which are not.
Many people find Sky Stream works fine for them, but others find that it can can require a bit more work to get a stable service.
If you like the ability to record and watch everything you like from actual hard drive recordings then you may have to get a hole drilled in your wall and a dish set up if you want and prefer to have Sky Q.

Re: Moving house and swapping to sky stream
You should be able to switch to Sky stream no problem, I have it and am more than happy with it, whilst theres no local recording you acn record certain things on to the cloud and bookmark content. It is also important to note that sattelite is being actively phased out, so would you really wnat a sattelite dish isnatlled if it may only be there 2/3 years maximum ?
Whilst you may not like the way Sky themselves install the cables which is quite intrusive, have you considered getting an electrician to install a sattelite socket that is flush in the wall ? the Sky techincian could tehn connect to this, it is ocmpleetly possible to hide all cables but Sky wont do thsi which is why my prefence would be having an electrician install a sattelite sokcet and terminating the cable somewhere.

Important to note that this should be a simple straight-through F-connector block and not a combined faceplate with a digital terrestrial television plug (and sometimes a rather anachronistic 'Radio' socket). Combination plates ('diplex' or 'triplex') typically contain additional electronic circuitry which can adversely affect Q reception, and it used to be standard practice for Sky installers to remove such things.

@TimmyBGood I had heard this before and in my lounge they (not Sky but an aerial/sattelite isnatller did this) but still pushed the wire through the faceplate so its much more neat and can be remoevd when no longer required, you still do have the option to have all the cables concealed by using an electrician.
