Major issues with Sky Stream

Returning customer (although wishes I hadn't)

One Sky Stream device connected by Ethernet, fixed IP and all network settings tweaked as per posts on here.

500MB Fibre connection

Everything else works in the house, smart TVs, games consoles, PC, mobiles etc.  Absolutely nothing wrong with the fibre connection.

Sky Stream regularly ignores that the Ethernet cable is plugged in (no issues with the cable, does the same with other cables as well - which are all obviously ethernet cables).  If it eventually works out that it does have a connection than for the first 10-15 minutes of using the service any channel or app suffers from really bad stuttering which looks like loss of picture/audio for a split second before it returns.  After 10-15 minutes everything is fine.

Tried dealing with the script monkeys, keep getting the old "it must need an update, following these instructions" line and they refuse to do anything else.  My device is definitely the most up-to-date lol.

The irony is that this does not affect me, I watch via Sky Go and the apps on my PC but the missus needs blood pressure tablets and a swear jar.

Any thoughts?
