How do I find out what update has been applied?

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
- Go to the bottom of the home screen
- Press settings
- Go to "System management"
- The version would be QS034.023.02 (probably with "P" at the end)
If it's that version, you have it, if it's not you don't yet.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@DantheSwan @Chloe-W22 Great write up DantheSwan unfortunatley Sky won't see it as they don't monitor communites I've copied @Chloe-W22 from Sky who advised of the update. I have got the update and unfortunately it hasn't worked I still have lip sync issues as do many others I also have other issues now with the screen freezing on "watch from the start" and requiring a re-boot. I regretfully took out a 24 month contract and I'm stuck for another 18 months, stupidly I should have looked at reviews before I joined Sky hopefully potential customers will! I have also been posting complaints on Twitter and TrustPilot.

@Anonymous wrote:Pucks are just cheap garbage. Ive spent the last four days with no working puck and have ben watching TV on my AppleTV via a combination of SkyGo/iPlayer...etc.
I've said before they should get out of the hardware game and provide the content via apps on other devices. Or least allow that as an option.
It already is an option.
You can get most, if not all of the same Sky content via the NOW app on any streaming device in the same UHD/HDR quality depending on the subscription you choose. Couple this with iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5, etc and you get all the same free to air channels, live and on demand. You don't get it wrapped up nicely in a nice blue Sky UI with a single EPG, but the content is exactly the same.
Sky are offering customers the choice - which is essential in the streaming age. There is much more in the way of competition than there was with their satellite service.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@BC1956 one of my friends has just cancelled their contract only a few months into it because of the issues. They just have to give 31 days notice. I've read elsewhere as well that streaming contracts are a grey area, hence I've heard of many people being able to leave mid contract with no penalty.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@Jonny16 thank you thats very helpful. I can't get any further than being told the problem is my speaker or sound bar which is ridiculous. I also can't find a link on Sky site to make a complaint. I keep getting referred to a standard page with no access to complaints.
Sky customer services unbelievably bad @Chloe-W22

@BC1956 You can make a complaint at the following link https://www.sky.com/help/forms/complaints
It will direct you to sign into your MySky account and will then give you a complaint form already populated with some of your account details.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
So far so good for me on 02P update, even on Animal Planet! 🙂
Just other features that are awful and don't work properly next pretty please:-
Dolby Atmos.
Watch from Start.
Lag/freeze ups/ "Please Wait..."

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
@Anonymous There have been a number of reports that even after the update BBC 1 can still be problematic with lip sync. I haven't seen it myself since getting the update about a week ago but some others are certainly seeing it. By all accounts the channel flip still resolves the BBC issue when it arises.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Certainly for me I 'm still seeing the lip sync issue not just BBC1 but also the You Tube app. So still not resolved as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
So, again some time to troubleshoot this morning:
Bypass the Sky router and extenders, connect a non-proprietary gateway to the ONT (in my case Ubiquiti) and the issue disappears!
The Dolby Atmos is near perfect also even coming from the soundbar.
Alter the to a 10ms delay and it spot on.
Early days but now 95% convinced it's a router side issue or some sort of firmware/middleware issue!

Ha ha ha and as I type this my Sky sports is flashing away like crazy. That's a new one
