Yes I see the problem with PCM too, so even if that was an earlier fix it doesn't seem to hold true now

@BobbiElman It's all rather unacceptable that Sky can't seem to sort out the issue, along with other problems, and at times keep still blaming our network / WiFi etc

Is this problem now sorted as it is getting worse especially channel 4. Paying money and not getting anything

I get his issue. Sky stream to tv, tv arc to atmos soundbar. Sky stream set to pass through as was getting advance sound everywhere on auto. Usually ok if I watch a live channel, however iPlayer, ITV hub and all 4 all have this issue where the sound is ahead not behind. I have to change sky to PCM and it's in sync. IPlayer started mid dec itv hub and all 4 have been like that for months. Other room have a Dolby digital and that's fine. Tried putting stream directly into amp and it is worse I get advance audio everywhere! Got decent cables and have zero issues with tv apps or sky channels, even Dolby digital sports in uhd and in demand are all fine just iPlayer, itv player and all 4. Paramount, Apple TV, discovery, prime and Netflix in sky stream are fine. Don't sue the rest.

Yesterday 19th football lip sync was very bad telephoned sky today one of many calls I have done they are working on it so when it's better I don't know

Except I wasn't watching a news channel
this morning it happened again on ITV. Again , as I'm watching .
so this issue I believe is much bigger that Sky thinks it is .

Except we shouldn't have to and fun fact - switching the channel for me doesn't always work .. I have to reboot the system

I have been advised by Sky that they are aware of the lip Sync problem and resolved the issue a number of months ago but they still havent uploaded the software as at of today 25/01/2025. They do not know when they will upload thev software to fix it.
Sky continuev to sell their televisions with this known fault and also a fault with the Channel 4 App. I am not on social media but i think this should be raised to a wider audience and Trading standards

@BC1956 (and @JohnWilkinson ) You are correct that there was an major lip sync issue back in February 2024 but that specific issue was in fact resolved although it took a considerable time for them to do so. The lip sync problem that some people are currently experiencing is another bout of the issue presumably with a different cause. I appear to be one of the lucky ones in that on the occasions I get lip sync problems a quick flip of channels resolves the issue for me every time but obviously this is not the case for everyone. Contrary to some of the assertions on this thread Sky are eager to get the matter resolved as soon as they can so fingers crossed it won't take Sky much longer to resolve the issue 🤞.

I have no idea what set-up most users are using, and whether the issues are related purely to non-Sky broadband.
My setup is:
After trying absolutely everything I could think of in terms of, I had a play with the TP-Link mesh this morning, and changed a couple of settings:
I've just done some very quick testing over a period of 20mins, flicking between channels, opening iPlayer/Discovery, returning to the worst offending channels, and so far, the results are promising.
One thing I've noticed previously, is that when the Sky banner/watch from start button appears, that often causes a tiny pause which throws out the audio. Now today, visually, it appears that the video/audio stream starts a little faster, and when the Sky banner/watch from start button appears, it does not interupt the stream audio, as it has had enough time to establish/cache.
I'll keep testing later when I get time, but may be something worth looking at within your individual setups (pls don't ask me how to do it as I only have knowledge of my own TP-Link managment application)

We have sky broadband and sky pucks.
we always have lip sink issues and if we turn off the puck then back on again lip sink is then fine for a while. We have tried all settings before as advised but no joy

Update to my earlier post as below.
Been testing a second puck tonight, quickly navigating between channels, opening apps and streaming, and returning back to live channels ...... and touch wood, no sync issues yet!!!

Had the same problem with Virgin box - for us it was the link to the sound bar. Played with settings and all is fine. It's always the software.

Were you not in the cooling off period? Why not just cancel?
