Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Whatever "fix" sky tried they need to undo and do some actual testing before they release updates, their jyst making things worse.
And this thread needs to have the "answer" removed

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Just received my first sky stream today, seriously considering cancelling and returning due to the lip sync issues.

This has been going on for months and it's no nearer to being solved by the look of it

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Well I lasted 2 wks and cancelled Sky Stream I've reverted to SkyQ it's worse than awful having to try to adjust every program all got a little too much. Definitely not the step forward we were expecting I'd say it was a step back to be fair.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
This update did not fix the lip sync issue with my Sky stream. Nor with the pixelation I was also experiencing. Both would occur on random channels including BBC but sync issue seemed more apparent when you went into an advert. If it was going to fail the lip sync would be out on the first advert and continue to the end of the adverts and remain when returning to the programme. If lip sync didn't go out on first advert it would be fine when going through all adverts and then returning to programme. If it went out at any time changing channel up or down then back again would clear problem.
NOW coincidence or not but I seem to have fixed both lip sync and pixelation by replacing the HDMI cable supplied with puck with a high spec 8k category 2 certified part Not had either problem for a week since doing so (keeping fingers crossed!) and also noticed that the image on my 50" 2020 Samsung TU8500 seems much "brighter" and sharper.
When you compare the new cable with that I was using supplied with puck there is no comparison. The high spec cable is twice the thickness of the Sky cable and is rated at 8k and 48gps and has gold contacts. If I continue to not have these two problems it would suggest the Sky supplied puck cable is of poor and inadequate quality... probably made to a price and not a spec or of Asian manufacture origin.
cable I am now using is from Bluerigger ... search Bluerigger HDMI on Amazon. Could be worth you trying

Interesting. I'm using the standard HDMI cable provided with the Puck and haven't experienced lip/sync issues. I suspect the cause is somewhat more deep rooted.

I experience the lip/sync issue on occasion and on a few channels whilst using the Sky provided cable and when swapped out for a certified high speed cable (to see if it made a difference with that particular issues). The plot thickens.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
Yeah that's interesting but I wonder if it's a coincidence. People are having this issue on Glass too, which doesn't need an HDMI cable because it's all built in.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream
I have glass and I have tried most things suggested but lately I tried scrolling down to settings and doing a reset at the start of the day much as you would with a phone or a laptop. No issues all day
Not a factory reset
