@Mark39  I didn't see a lot of lip sync problems before the update but when I did it was usually in live BBC1 or ITV that it was most noticeable.  In every case a quick flip of channels and back again resolved it.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

New symptom today,   The sound is muted for a few seconds and when it comes back the lips are out of sync.   Changing stations fixes the issue.   This is on the new version of the software.  Doesn't happen as often as it did in December and early January.   But still often enough to be annoying

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Is this QS034.023.02 the latest version?  I was just updated from QS033.022.02P to QS034.022.00P  so do I have the lip-sync fix or not yet? Thanks

@Simon+F  Unfortunately not the update with the fix is QS034.023.02P (QS034.023.04P for Glass TVs).

I'm not sure why you have only just been updated to your current build as this was completed weeks ago.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Annoying, all 3 of our pucks were updated to this "Less old" build only over the last few days.  I believe there is no way to force an update as we see the lip-sync issues a lot?

You're right, I'm afraid.

@Simon+F Sky have said they hope to complete the rollout of the new update by the end of the month.  If they hit their target it will only be a few days to wait.  Unfortunately you can't force an update.

Have a look at my post 1008 above for a quick fix whilst you wait for the update.  It worked for me.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Yes thanks, been using the channel flip reset.  I have a 90 year old mother living with me and I have to keep  reminding her to do it when Coronation Street messes up for her; can't wait for it to be fixed!

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Just tried to watch Silent Witness on stream and lip sync was drastically out again.  I ended up watching on BBC iPlayer instead.  It was ok there but we shouldn't have to do that.

@MaureenD  As reported elsewhere some people who have had the new update are still experiencing issues with BBC1 but other channels seem to be OK. Personally before the update I had some lip sync problems but not very much and what I did have was mainly on BBC1 but since receiving the update last Wednesday morning I have not noticed it at all.  As with most streaming issues some people have more problems than others.

I am on QS034.023.02P and on the point of cancelling my contract, the sync issue is so bad can hardly watch anything

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

So so so many issues with this stream nonsense, Sky cannot dodge it forever, pretty soon the excuse bank will run dry and they'll be forced to do the right thing

they've already indirectly admitted there's an issue with lip sync and only just released an update to fix

there's still issues with Dolby sound and their solution to is turn it off , just laughable

the advert for stream clearly says Dolby audio, it doesn't mention the bonus feature of terrible lip sync

it fails to mention that every sport channel event would get a pixelation bonus either

This is without the terrible UI that's so slow it frustrates, doesn't mention the constant restarts you need to do in order to fix some of the bugs you get

the service is dire, a quick trustpilot check shows the real scale of the issue

Sky just refund people, you offered a service you've not been able to provide!
Its that simple!
Back to the drawing board for you and I suggest you start with the garbage hardware

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Pucks are just cheap garbage. Ive spent the last four days with no working puck and have ben watching TV on my AppleTV via a combination of SkyGo/iPlayer...etc.

I've said before they should get out of the hardware game and provide the content via apps on other devices. Or least allow that as an option.
