I've followed this group since day one when it became a problem. I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has made any lasting improvement. Sky have to realise that this issue is more than just an issue, it's a distraction and probably completely avoidable with a software fix. Come on Sky, this has gone on far too long. Fix it before it becomes the reason why so many leave or maybe think twice before signing up.

I was in the the local shopping centre today and there was two people with representatives at the Sky Booth ready to sign 18 months of their life away.
I spoke out as I moved past on my mobility scooter and said "wouldn't bother guys Sky can't even sort the sound out"
One of the fellas came up to me and asked what I was on about, and I said Stream and Glass have well documented issues with the sound out of sync. I said Sky Q is fine though. And I just said search for it on Google "Sky Forums sound out of sync Dec 2024", and up it popped.
Lets just say that's two families saved from our misery. Sky just sort this out because every time I pass that stall I'll be passing folk my opinion and the opinion and struggles of others on a public forum.

Yes it's the only thing they care abou. More people are moving to subscription services and away from services like Sky. They need to sort these issues if they want to exist I. 5 years time.

I kept resetting the puck and I was still getting the same situation so I phoned sky and explained to the sky technical support and they sent out a booster to push the signal and that has worked

Same issues here....on all 3 pucks! Sky Blaming my Sky Hub as the WIFI is showing as a problem.....The pucks are hard wired into the Ethernet ports.....and my WIFI is turned off as I have a Mesh system.
I have 100% noticed it is when any programme comes back from the ad breaks. Doing it on on AUTO / Passthrough and PCM......Seems like the is still no fix....

Yep, the post marked as the answer was in July and has not aged very well. 🤣
I see the audio issue fairly regularly, no idea how they can blame connection speeds for this. I have no soundbar or Atmos.
Still seeing image breakup as well, restarting the puck sorts this out mostly, but another ongoing issue.
Overall I'm still happy with Sky Stream other services out there all have their issues from time to time, so I don't always understand the hyperbole on some of the threads, I would say 95% of my experience is positive to be honest.

So they are adiment on sending me out a new sky hub....Even though we all no it isnt that.
I have told them I even tried it on a 4G router and the same issue.....But they still say "Nope the sky Hub msut be replaced"
I have a Sonos Beam and Rear Speaker and did wonder if it was this....however glad to know that you have no external set up and are also having the issues.

Hi I actually found if you press rewind then play it sorts itself out. It's a pain I must admit but once I do that it's fixed.

@ClaireS89 Play their silly games and then if nothing changes ask for a dealdock letter and make a formal complaint via CIAS
I'm almost at the conclusion of mine with a full refund and cancellation without penalty part of the settlement
Keep links to this thread and the multiple others like the pixelation one and audio dropouts one, they have roughly 50 pages each and send that to CIAS when you get your deadlock letter
Sky haven't got a leg to stand on to be honest , they need to recall these garbage sky pucks and start from scratch

I assume this is not fixed yet, sky puck is terrible compared to dish or virgin

Like many others I've switched to the Sky Steam service unaware of the problems with voice sync and freezing issues which I am experiencing. I've seen a post from Sky dated back in July this year saying a software update is due soon to fix these 'known issues' Can anyone say when will the update be available.

No, no one here or at Sky can or will provide such information. Software updates happen on a regular basis

Thanks I thought that would be the answer. I'm amazed Sky can get away selling a service with so many issues!

The freezing issues will not be fixed with any software update. They will related to your broadband. The lip sync issues has been around since sky stream started for some, I hope you have patience
