Issues with watching “recordings” on Sky Stream

Has anyone else had this issue with watching "recordings" on Sky Stream?

if I pause, fast forward or rewind whilst watching the recording, it, more often than not, will restart the playback at the very beginning and I end up having to search for where I had got to. It happens no matter what channel I am watching and I have swapped the puck and the handset with the ones serving my second tv with no effect.

I have come to the conclusion that it must be Sky's service that is at fault and not my local equipment / appliances.

@ColinSampson

Unless your broadband connection is flawless, fast and stable and you are connected to a less busy Sky server, you can often find fast forwarding and rewinding to be glitchy. That was certainly my experience.

@ColinSampson   As @Angel_Aka says Stream can be glitchy and certainly needs more things fixing.  I find when fast forwarding adverts on some channels you have to wait for the adverts to actually start before trying to skip them.  Also, again with some channels, if you start watching a program after it has already started, but is still broadcasting fast forwarding or rewinding is fine but once that program finishes in real time any attempt to forward or rewind sends you back to the beginning.

A couple of things to try, go into Settings, System management, Resets & updates and select App refresh.  It take a few minutes but will automatically return you to the Home page.  Then go back in exactly the same but chose Restart.  If you are still having problems check your puck is not touching anything apart from the shelf it is on and has about 6 inches of space all around it.

I hope one of those helps.
