Internet issues

Hi we have just started a sky subscription and you sent us sky stream which I understand now is because you are phasing out the satellites. Our internet is not good (we are in the Northumberland national park) and we are struggling badly to watch tv. We have an existing satellite and cables here and I understand you will support this until 2029. If it possible for us to revert to our old sky box via the satellite? We could watch tv when the internet was down and also record things - much better than this current service. As it stands our box will not stream any adverts (it takes up to 15 mins to get through one advert set due to freezing and glitching) and we cannot watch tv at all when the internet is struggling - like now.

we are currently not getting an acceptable service and cannot continue like this

@Williamwatson  You would need to call Sky to revert to Sky Q for the duration as unless you can get Broadband speeds of atg least 50mbps then Sky stream will be a poor experiance.

Sky stream needs a minimum of 25mbps for HD & 30mbps for UHD.

What is the speed of your broadband?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Unfortunately Sky salespeople don't seem to check thoroughly whether or not a potential customer's broadband is capable of receiving the Sky Stream service. They are very happy to sell you the product without confirming that it can actually work reliably.

You can still switch to Sky Q, the service received via satellite dish, you just need to speak to Sky and confirm that is what you want, regardless of what they say about streaming being the future.
