Inappropriate Paramount ads for kids profile

Recently, our kids have discovered all the variations of Paw Patrol on Paramount + (how exciting!) however, once we've selected the programme to watch the advert Paramount+ is choosing to display is highly inappropriate for children - we've had programmes displaying guns and violence being advertised, some with sexual content snippets, even the overall broad advertisement for the streaming service has inappropriate snippets in. I don't mind having a "pre-programme ad" but is there a setting, over and above having a kids profile, I've missed to make them age appropriate?! Please help a concerned mum!

You'll need to raise a complaint directly with Paramount+ if you're still recieving adverts that are inappropriate.

Using Profiles and Kids Mode

Create a Kids Profile:

You can create a Kids Profile by hovering over your profile picture and selecting "Add Profile," then choosing to enable "Kids Mode".

Choose a Kids Mode Level:

You can choose between levels for "Older Kids" (up to TV PG/PG) or "Younger Kids" (TV Y or G).

Thank you - this is already on a kids profile with younger setting chosen.

Would suggest reporting this breach of advertising to the ASA.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the UK’s independent regulator of advertising across all media. They apply the Advertising Codes, which are written by the Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP)
