Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

I have read that they are looking into why there is an issues with Netflix and that we need to reboot the box or sky glass. I have had to do that repeatedly.

Hi @ljmm1967 It will have nothing to do with the roadworks to the pavement outside your house.  There have been a number of people complaining about the same thing.

Restarting the puck seems to resolve it apparently. To do this go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device. It takes about 2 minutes to completely reboot and you will have a blank scree for a while.

Sky are aware and are looking into the issue.

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

This is getting beyond funny as every day it's taking the 5 plus minutes to do the refresh etc. We are paying for this service yet it's not fit for purpose. Please can we have an update with timescales so at least we know what to expect. Thank you

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

I have the same issue. Only Netflix has the issue with poor image quality. I have to restart the puck to get the imagine quality back. All other services on the puck (Sky, prime, Disney) are fine, just Netflix.

Glad I'm not the only one. Have to reboot my puck if I want to watch Netflix, all other apps are fine.

Nice that Sky seem to think that having to reboot the puck everytime we want to watch something is worth the £200 per month we pay.

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

Dear Sky,

We are also seeing the issue as well on our pucks, it's not my internet as netflix via apple tv is perfect and everything else on the pucks seem fine.  It's just netflix.

The only workaround for now it to reboot the device everytime you want to watch Netflix on the puck.  Which is not ideal.

Can you please advise that you are working on the issue?

Thanks.

Hi @Retsulc  See post 9 above which is the confirmation from the Community/Forum Manager (a Sky employee) that they are aware and the issue has been referred to a support team for investigation.

Also seeing this same very low quality on Netflix via 4x Sky Stream Pucks.  Fine via Alternative methods like Samsung TV app.  Posting this so I get a reply when it fixed so I can put the second remote back in the draw haha!

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

I literally have to do the restart every day to watch Netflix.  Considering the premium pricing of sky, it is not acceptable to not be able to watch Netflix without powering on/off, restarting apps etc.  try doing this with kids in the room desperate to watch something!

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

Hi,

I have had the problem now for 2 weeks. I have to reset all three pucks every day otherwise Netflix is unwatchable.

what are Sky doing about this?

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

Same problem here, not my wifi as Netflix streams perfectly direct to the TV, one of the 'bonuses' of skytream was meant to be able everything in one place

Very dissapointed

Re: Image quality on Netflix August 2025

Same here, sky stream seams always to get these types of problems all the time, I'm seriously thinking of cancelling it all together!! Nobody from sky knows what it is either? Poor service & I was going to have my broadband with them as my bt contract is coming to an end but not now if this is the level of service you get!!!

+ 1 - this haepened to me past week, fixed by a reboot of the puck, after going in and out of standby and restarting the netflix app didn't work.
