ITV player freezing

Trying to watch Mr bates on itv player, after selecting the episode a blank screen comes up and the screen freezes. . I have tried this several times, reset the box and repeated this over several days, never had this problem with virgin,

Have you run a Netflix ... get help ... Network check?

Run it a few time time a few minutes apart... what speeds does it report?
