Trying to watch the Tyson fight on Netflix from last night via my sky stream box.
It's 5 hours long. I'm trying to skip to the main fight. The skip ahead function is very slow. Feels like it's going to take me half an hour of holding the button down as it slowlys skips forward 10 seconds at a time.
I've given up.
How can I skip ahead faster or in bigger increments?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAnother way to solve this is to open up the Netflix app on a phone or tablet and scroll forward on the timeline with your finger.
That is a fast way.
Then just cast the app to your Sky Stream box.
As mentioned above, the Netflix app on Sky Q, Sky Stream/Glass and smart TVs is controlled by Netflix themselves for most of the functions.
May be worth contacting Netflix to request some kind of better ff feature, especially in view of a five hour programme, like the above.

That function isn't supported from Netflix shows as far as i'm aware.
Unfortunately the fast forwarding and rewinding functionality in Netflix is quite basic at the minute.

Yes just updated my post, did not see Netflix on first look, as thought it was a sky sports match, haha.
Never twigged Netflix and Boxing.

To be honest - its a bit of a shame the Netflix app doesn't support it, as Sky seem to have quite a good relationship with Netflix.

Agree, would be a nice addition.

As said the voice commands don't work, and the tapping the button method appears to be no faster either.
Still giving me only 10 seconds per press.

Just been sat here myself trying to fast forward 5hrs to get to the main event in 10 second intervals - that's only 1800 clicks - come on sky sort it out

Nothing to do with Sky - they don't own the Netflix app.
