Does anyone know if Sky will bring out a new puck with better hardware or launch stream as an app which would obviously render the puck useless.
I had stream since it was launched, however due to the continuous issues, lip sync, pixelation, blue screen and constant rebooting I decided to cancel my subscription.
Having looked at other options I bought an Apple TV 4K streaming box and subscribed to NOW.
NOW is a good alternative, however does anyone know if there are any plans to update the user interface to be more like what stream offers.

I'd suggest neither of those are likely to happen any time soon: hardware diversity increases development and support overheads, while moving to a software client would make it harder to justify the historic Sky subscription premium.

What aspect of the Stream interface would you like incorporated into the NOWTV interface?

The Now interface on Apple TV is actually very good, the colours I prefer to stream and as Now uses Apple's in house app rather than it's own that is why the interface runs flawlessly on Apple TV. You've also got the Now channel within the Apple TV app alongside a multitude of others so it makes cross rooms viewing and on the go viewing all in sync a doddle a no whole home subscription required. No brainer!

We are due to move to a new apartment next weekend and once settled intend to put a Freely compatible TV in the bedroom. As I already own a 4K ATV the logical step would be to use my ATV with Now instead of taking a whole home subscription. The apartment is already cabled for Ethernet but my ATV is a 3rd generation model without the Ethernet port which is a shame.

Would a NOW subscription be less costly than whole home ?

It can be significantly cheaper with easy to receive discounts😉

I'm not sure what Sky charge for Whole home now £10 a month?
My now TV is £3.99 entertainment £3.99 Cinema and £2.00 boost
the £2.00 boost gives you UHD content, multiviewing and AD free not skip but seamless AD free.
So £10 a month for everything no sport. It's just a no brainer you can monthly subscribe or block subscribe usually 6 months. If on 6 months which is cheaper just before renewal when the price jumps up go to cancel and you'll get offers to stay all done within the app no calls to Sky or Now required it's just so easy.
Now had a poor reputation for picture quality only streaming 720p for years but that ship has long sailed the quality is outstanding now and flawless with an Apple 4K box.
I've said it so many times with Apple TV Launcher app developed by Adam Foot it is a dream to use.
You can still watch the random channels like Together, Blaze etc alongside every app available and of course the much liked Talking Pictures TV is coming very soon with their new streaming app.
Personally I'd never tie myself into a carrier like EE, Virgin or Sky again. They are seen as easy options they have it all just pay through the nose and watch but there is an alternative out there that people don't even look at, madness.
Yes horses for courses but heh the customer is king, right 🤔
Time to be smarter than a smart TV 😉

This is quite interesting in that Now TV now has Ultra Boost. This removes one of the last obstacles to me moving away from Glass / Stream if I want to.

Yes UltraBoost gives UHD across entertainment, cinema and sport just like Sky it broadcasts live sport in UHD but I don't have that so can't comment and AD free not skipping.
I pay £2 per month for this, it is advertised at £9 but there are always deals. I've used Now for the past 4 years or so and never paid advertised prices.
It was dreadful only pumping out 720p in the past but now having used stream for 6 months before switching back to Now I can see no reason to return to Sky currently.
As with everything do your homework 😉
