Fool proof voice activation of TV with Sky Streaming Puck

My 84 year old sister in law has terminal bowel cancer and she relies heavily on her TV. She struggles with operating the remote control and has to use voice control. She has Sky Streaming linked to a JVC TV Model LT-40C880. I have paired the Sky remote to control the TV but it keeps losing the connection. I need to make a decision whether to change her over to a Sky Glass  or to find another TV that won't loose its connection to the Sky Remote. Any help would be appreciated please.

Hi @terrywarner

It could be worth considering registering with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help now or in the future. Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team other than phoning

I'd note that's a fairly vintage television set.  A Glass or Glass Air (much more reasonably priced) should be far more reliable with regards to the remote control because it's directly paired with the TV over a Bluetooth connection.
