Why does the recording always return to the beginning of the programme when fast forwarded

Does this happen at any particular time in the show? Specifically I'm wondering if it happens once you hit ads?

Not always we forward so far and after ads it goes back to the beggining of the show. It also does this when we leave part way through the show and return to it later
