Failing Apps
Every time we try and play something on Channel 5 it's a lottery - you either get and advert thane a black screen or it starts then restarts then loses sound then comes back
tonight almost everything I tried to play had a 'technical fault'
Awful service and you simply CANNOT talk to anyone to get some recompense for lack of promised programming.
thinking of going back to Virgin

@John+DF Sky Go, where you posted is a PC/Mobile app and dpes not support any apps within it.
Which Platform is this in relation to? Sky Q, Sky Glass or Sky Stream?

@John+DF Your post has been moved to the correct board for Sky Stream related issues.

Re: Failing Apps
I've also noticed this passed two days issues with the 5 app on Glass & Stream it fails to load or will load passed the logo but then hangs. Restarting the puck sometimes clears the problem but not always.
I don't use 5 a great deal so unsure from what build this issue has occurred.
Being server based on Sky it would lean towards a Sky server side issue but the 5 app is generally poor across several platforms so it could be 5.
It's probably the worst app alongside U on Apple too.

Re: Failing Apps
In my opinion it's a sly problem because I tried other 'recordings' and even some movies and got the 'technical fault' with this programme' on several of them.
not just 5

The technical fault info generally occurs due to poor signal strength via WiFi. Are you using WiFi connectivity? You can run a test in the Netflix app to see what strength the box is receiving. Ethernet connection generally stops the issue too.

Re: Failing Apps
It's a direct connection (Ethernet) from the router so not a wifi issue.

Re: Failing Apps
Right. The other course of action is to turn off your puck at the mains for a few moments and power back on plus rebooting your router can clear the cache and will help.
If you are still having issues then you'll have to contact Sky possible replacement Puck required.

Re: Failing Apps
I'm connected via ethernet & have a lot of issues with the 5 app too. Programmes rarely load first time, the app just hangs. I have to press the home button to & try again. It usually works second time.
Hoping it gets fixed soon.

Heh I'm a customer too just trying to help give some advice from my experience. Please direct your frustration directly to Sky, give them a call! If you're still in your 31 days cancel.

I never use the 5 app, but this seems to just be a really poorly reimplemented app as there is usually always complaints on the forum of the app not working correctly.

Re: Failing Apps
Agreed @MarkGoldsmith @Gincap , not deflecting as it needs to be fixed, but it seems to me to be the worst PSB app on any platform/device I use.
