Extras added to sky stream

I've just switched from Sky Q to Sky Stream, and I've logged in to my account to find UHD and ad skipping have been added without my consent, at an additional £12 a month, without my consent. Why do they do things like this?! I now have to waste another hour of my life contacting them to take them off 🤦‍♀️

Hi, how frustrating, you shoukd be able to

save some pain of the phone by removing them via the MySky app, hopefully they were just added as trials and not charged.

 

Open the App > Select TV > Scroll the top menu to Home Setup > Scroll down until you see Ad Skipping > Remove.

 

it will summarise your choice and you can confirm.

I always have issues managing my account online, unless it comes to upgrades.....

Manage content packs, and manage home setup, are both greyed out.

Agh, that's annoying!! 

I'd think it's due to the move from Q to Stream then possibly based of the old service as those packs should be easily managed, hope the call resolves it easily.😕

Unbelievable, telling me it's 31 days notice and I have to pay for the first month, even though I didn't agree for these things to be added? Apparently they're always added, so Sky is overcharging everyone for their first month?!

After speaking to a supervisor, apparently the charge will be adjusted - I don't know if this is because I made a fuss or is standard.

 

Thanks for all the advice and escalating. 

Hopefully the greyed out buttons will resolve themselves in a few days and I won't need to mess around in the future.
