Ethernet connection

We have already had our Sky puck replaced once and after only a few weeks, its playing up again. Not been able to get any actual TV channels today. The trouble shooter guidance keeps saying it's the broadband but everything else is working fine. We're connected to the router via ethernet so its not WiFi interference. Any ideas?

Hi @Skillybob

Unlike other devices ethernet doesn't take precedence. You need to turn WiFi off in the settings of the puck.

Also what speed is your puck receiving? You can check in netflix (profile pic > get help? > Connectivity check). Sky say you need 25Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD.

Re: Ethernet connection

Thanks, it gives 79.81, so should be plenty for the Sky stream service. I can watch Netflix and BBC player without issues but anything from the TV guide just won't load. I'm seriously unimpressed with this as a service.

Re: Ethernet connection

Thanks, I was aware of that and had switched off the WiFi and connected via ethernet in the settings already. We have been watching fine for 2 or 3 months until a few days ago.
