Discovery+ activation error

In the sky app is says Discovery+ awaiting activation and when I click to activate I get an error message saying they can't do it right now and it will be fixed soon.  It's been 3 months, how do I get it activated?.

When I go on the Discovery+ normally it asks me to renew (as I was a SkyQ user) for £3.99 a month.

Hi @StevenL2  You mention being a former Sky Q subscriber so when you moved to the streaming platform all your Marketplace subscriptions are cancelled so you have to re-register (see the THIS link).  I wonder if this is what is causing your problem.

 

You can register or re-registered (as appropriate) by doing the following:  Use the voice command "My Sky" and then select the following:  your products / (enter your PIN) / App Subscriptions / Current / and then Discovery + Monthly. Hopefully it will say £0 per month whilst you have a Sky TV subscription.  If so select Activate subscription.

Nope neither of those worked as everytime it takes me to the app to verify it asks me to renew my membership and doesn't give me any option of the sky free version
