Discovery+ Black Screen When Opening from Playlist/Continue Watching
This is something that i have noticed recently aswell, mainly affecting iplayer and also discovery+. when selecting a program from the continue watching rail iplayer behaves as BearWithSoreHead has described, with the exception being that i have always had to select who was watching whenever iplayer opened (never found that an issue)
Discovery+ takes you to a blank screen and only when going back to stream home page and selecting program again does it load and play.
Irritating in both cases though.
Puck has been rebooted and no difference

Apparently there is a known fault between Sky and iplayer that is being looked into. I've never had Discovery+ open first time since having Glass/Stream, channel 5 is also full of issues especially around FF and picture quality and just a couple of days ago Paramount+ has also failed and won't load 🙄
Unlike Firestick and Apple etc Sky apps are on Sky servers and this is perhaps the reasons around issues.
I've taken to using my Apple TV as the main equipment again as logins work even if subscribed via Sky but of course Sky content is only via Now.

Tried yesterday after seeing some mentions.
Its not an app I use very often on my Sky Stream Pucks.
All I ever watch on there is Wheeler Dealers.
Just tried launching a few episodes of Series 6, as I did yesterday and as yesterday is again going straight to the programme and playing the episode through the app.
My Discovery + version is 6.10.0 build 97
Sky Stream with two pucks (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Protect smart tech kit tester.

Hi @motb I have been having exactly the same issue with Discovery +. When you select a programme from your playlist or continue watching it takes you to a black screen on Discovery +. If you then return to the Sky homepage and select the programme for a second time it takes you direct to the requested programme.
Sky are aware of the issue with Discovery + as well as the similar problem with iPlayer.

Can you help us to understand this issue, please?
- When the Discovery+ app launches and goes to a black screen, does the second attempt work?
- Have you seen any error messages when this happens?
- Does this impact content from your Playlist?
- Does this impact content from Continue Watching?
- Have you noticed any particular content that it happens with?

For me it happens from content tiles or opening the app, I get a black screen and the white circle and that's it. Come out of that screen and try again and then it loads.
No error messages and from continue watching plus playlist too.
No specific content literally anything.
