Device Limit Reached on Sky Stream pucks

On 2 of my 4 sky stream pucks, it is stating that the Device Limit Reached. 
this has occurred since a call yesterday to Sky to upgrade my service.

Just additional tv channels.

however on speaking to Sky, 2 of the pucks had been marked for return and hence why they had ceased to operate.
