Cloud recording issues

Hi, I have a issue with the cloud recordings this last week where they are simply no longer happening, it first happened with WWE raw on late Monday/Tuesday morning, then  every day of the third test, the premier league darts on Thursday, WWE smackdown on Friday and the UFC last night, also a pearl harbour documentary on PBC America, they show up in the playlist position as most recent but when you go to enter them the page never totally loads, in the case of Raw and Smackdown they also usully show up in the continue watching rail,

 

Everything else that is taken from Sky's own on demand or a third party app is completely fine but with the F1 testing starting this Wednesday and the season proper next week this is a issue that needs to be sorted.

 

 Not sure if it makes any difference but we have three boxes and the software version on all three is QS024.012.00P.

Arw you adding the shows to the playlist from the tv guide ? This seems to be the most successful way to do it

I am not 100% sure on the sport but the pearl harbour documentary from PBC would have been, the sports have not been newly added, the WWE programmes were added back in late October when we switched form Q, same with the UFC, the cricket at the start of the first test, the darts before the first night of the premier league, there has been no issues up until this week they have always picked up and done the cloud recording as expected, what's happening now is when I go to the playlist they have moved to most recent as if they have recorded correctly but when I go into them I get the picture at the top, ie with the cricket the ball and wicket then everything below is just blue, I have just tried adding the football this afternoon  as a fresh entry just to see what happens.

@IWTD Have you tried rebooting the stream puck? Just unplug it for a couple of minutes and see if that correctly repopulates the playlist correctly.

Yeah I rebooted all three yesterday, I have just removed all the WWE, Cricket, UFC and darts from the playlist and re added through the tv guide and their playlist pages now load up correctly, obviously no recordings and the past cloud recordings are now gone, but the catchup content etc is there now, I have added the Sheffield Utd vs Brighton or basically super Sunday to the playlist so I'll see what happens at 1pm.

Yeah i was going to suggest utilising Discovery + for the on-demand for the Cricket, WWE, UFC shows.

 

What i find with the TNT sports channels in particular, is that if you have added a show from the playlist from the TV Guide, for example WWE RAW on TNT Sports 1, if for the odd week that moves over to TNT Sports 2 or 3, i've noticed the cloud recording doesn't get taken or the playlist doesn't update until the content is added on Discovery +. This ends up updating the playlist but not the continue watching rail as the source of the show is different.

 

If i recall correctly this is just the same thing that would happen on Sky + or Sky Q where the series link doesn't necessary move across channels, but at least on those systems you can see the planned recordings and will see where the series link has dropped off due to a channel change. However this particular feature doesn't exist on the sky streaming platform.

No - enhancements to cloud recording are being rolled out ..... it's always been there just a bit hit and miss

You can sometimes see under the show on your playlist if it says "recorded"

Its been available for a while but its hit and miss, as you have no idea what shows Sky can take a cloud recording of legally. 

 

I think the a previous issue was that you wouldn't always get access to the cloud recording, and it would depend on how you added the show to your playlist over whether the cloud recording was made available to you. I believe this is what is apparently fixed in QS25 i guess time will tell on that one.

I used Discovery plus for the WWE and I do believe it shifted to TNT Sports 2 as they have had the NBA all star on all weekend on 1, so that could be a answer, the cricket I was just doing the watch from start from within the sport menu before leaving for work as for all intents and purposes it adds a recording and is in the continue watching rail, thinking about it too the darts could possibly have been effected by the whole channel switching with Sky Sports Tennis launching but that's just a pure guess from me based on you last reply.

 

Super Sunday is only recording as expected now, fingers crossed that this is hopefully sorted now.
