Have you given your puck a reboot recently? This often helps clear glitches from apps. In the case of ITVX, I've found it's actually best to pay for ITVX Premium, then the ads are fully removed.

Have tried rebooting but does not seem to help. Thanks anyways.

Tried refreshing the apps too? ITVX is a notoriously memory hungry app and really isn't great on any platform. I find it to be most reliable on the Apple TV 4K box with the Premium ad-free subscription.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's a known issue with the ITV X app that has affected versions of the app running on multiple platforms.
The usual fix is to force the ITV X to reset.
To reset the ITVX app: open the app & enter 0 0 0 0 7 7 7. After entering the code (which basically clears the cache) the App should respond by saying “The storage has been cleared”.

Thanks worked for a bit and back to black screens again. Really poor from Sky I think.

1. Which channel?
2. Does ITVX work without issue on your Smart TV?

That is exactly what they want to happen.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI have found that when the screen goes blank at the start of an advert break a single press of Fast Forward button on the remote skips the entire set of adds just like a skip adds button. Worth a try to see if it works for you as well.
