Can't get free Discovery+ and keep getting error message 'Something went wrong MYSKY_1008'
We have just got Sky Streaming Ultimate but can't get Discovery +. We went through the log in process but when going on programs it keeps saying that we need to upgrade but . When trying to get into Sky Shop and other functions, we keep getting the 'Something went wrong but we are working on this. Please try again later. MYSKY_1008' message. We also seem to need to keep putting our PIN in to absolutely anything!

If you cannot do it via your box you can sign up via my Sky as outlined here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-marketplace-subscribe-to-discovery-plus
My dad was experiencing the same issue on his pucks and a back end team had to resolve, however I signed him up via the app.

Unfortunately, we can't complete your order online.
In addition, we have wasted a good 3-4 hours speaking to Sky and no one has a clue hownto sort it!

Things are going from bad to worse. After speaking to several different Sky people who could not solve the issues, we were told that our issues would have to go to the backroom tech people to look into and they would get back to us. That was over 48 hours ago and heard nothing.
In the meantime, when hitting 'continue watching' on any program, it comes up with 'Please wait for your programme to load' in the top left of the screen and then, after a couple of minutes 'There is a technical fault with this programme. Please try agin later.'
I am getting more and more dissatisfied with the service. It has not worked properly from day 1 and if I could send it back as 'not fit for purpose' I would - but there is nothing else out there that my better half would consider so we are very anxious to get to the bottom of this asap. Resets, facoty resets, signing out of everything, turning the puck off and disconecting the power etc have all been tried but nothing will fix it.
I find it incredulos that Sky are not able to fix issues in their own fairly simple streaming service!

If anyone from Sky with any clout reads this, our issues went to the Sky 'Back Room' Tech team a week ago and we were promised that someone would be getting back to us with a fix. We have heard nothing back. If the issues are not resolved soon I will be cancelling the contract as Sky have fallen well short of providing the services promised.
