Any update please, what's the point in having stream when you can't actually watch programs when you want.

I suspect it's simply an API change on the part of ITV and C4. They're probably the same dev team contracted to the broadcasters. That new API is likely not compatible with the SKY software and the glass etc error handling simply disables the control as a result. That's what I would do anyway. SKY would likely know but have to test the **bleep** out of their adaptations because in this instance they don't own the solution. Takes time.

For me, this looks to be fixed from 9am this morning for both ITV and C4
Hope it's the same for others.

Yeah, the enemy was trying to watch Bake Off when this became apparent - she was able to watch it last night and all the controls are now working in the app. Not tried to restart something yet on ITV but saw the restart "play button" when GMB was on ITV this morning.

Nope, still getting 'there's a technical fault' but can't watch from start on ITVX either so no idea what's going on

At the risk of facitiousness - have you restarted your device? It is also possible the correction is a staggered rollout.

Hi. Yes, I've restarted it several times and have cleared the cache on ITVX and restarted that as well. I realise ITVX is the worst of all the apps and doesn't function well at the best of times but this is a new low for them!

This thread is not related to the ITVx app and is not what was reported as an issue for Sky to fix.
Which it seems they have fixed now. It may take a short while to propagate.
The fix is for the watch from start on C4 104 and ITV 103 linear channels, that works with a 'cloud recording' type within the SkyOS eco stream.
Can you create a new thread please for your ITVx issue and we will look to get it escalated to Sky for you, if you are having problems with the ITVx app and other technical errors.
Plus, can you explain in the new thread where if anywhere else you are getting the technical fault error.
I will move your posts here over to it.

I'm still experiencing this issue on ITV and Channel 4 channels. I have Sky Glass and a Stream puck. I've tried restarting both, and also tried resetting all apps. @lettice did you have to do anything in particular to get the fix?

No, I did not do anything, it was not working early this morning, but around 9am it started working for me.
I have not done a Sky Stream settings restart since before the weekend.
