Can I locate my sky puck 5 metres away from television

I have a wall mounted television and would like to locate the sky puck in another part of the room with a 5 metreHDMI cable. Will this work okay

Five metres would generally be considered too far for UHD over passive HDMI cable.

 

You could try it (but don't pay a ridiculous amount for the cable) or look at 'active' HDMI.

Thank you TimmyB for your prompt answer. Very useful and Ihave revaluated the location to within 3 metres. I will give this a try.

Why not stick the puck to the rear of the television and run a power cable from the USB socket on the TV for  5V power? Short HDMI cable out of sight.
