I have been a Sky Q customer for years but recently signed up as a new customer to Stream and Wifi Max. I'm comfortably achieving 400mbps on wifi. On the old black hub, even at a lower speed, i never had buffering issues.
Today, since moving to the new Max hub (white) I am having issues with buffering when watching Stream.
Any ideas why this could be? My connection is the same (FTTP Ultrafast 500mbps) and all that has changed is the hub. Ive been watching Stream on my older black hub for the past few weeks with no issues

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Craigm86 the new white WiFi Max hub uses a wider range of 5GHz wifi channels which helps with reducing interference and improves speeds but suffer greater attenuation when passing through walls and other solid objects so can have shorter range.
If you pay for Wifi Max call Sky and they should send out an extender fioryou to place midway between the location of the hub and tge Stream puck.

Thank you. I am seeing 400mbps in every room though, including where the Stream is buffering - so the signal seems to be getting where it needs to go. Would an extender do anything?

How was the 400 Mbps measured?
What result does the Netflix Network check on the Puck return?
