Blurry Netflix
Over the last few days my picture on Netflix has been awful and really Blurry. If I turn the sky box off at the wall and restart it the picture is fine. If I then leave the app and go back in it's blurry again.
Anyone else having this issue?

@Newbie12 Which Sky box? there are 2 different ones in existence, Sky Q or Sky Stream?
43" Glass TV & Puck Whole Home
Please note I only provide help on the main forums and not via PM, PM's are switched off.
Samsung 75" 4K TV, Sky Glass Gen 2 55", Sky Stream, EE FTTC Broadband, Three 5G Broadband (Backup), Sony 7.1 AV Receiver, Technisat MultiSat receiver.

Re: Blurry Netflix
It must be the sky stream, it's a flat black box. Not sky Q

Re: Blurry Netflix
Exactly the same as ours by the sounds of it. It's really frustrating!

Re: Blurry Netflix
I have the same blurry screen watching via Netflix on my Sky Stream puck. I have tried watching it through the Netflix app via my Smart TV instead and that is fine. It's definitely a Sky problem.

Netflix streaming issues
For the last couple of weeks every time I use Netflix through Sky Stream pick the quality of the picture is poor. If I use on my TV it's fine.
I have to unplug the puck and plug back in for it to work as expected.
I saw a similar issue back in September and looks like it got fixed by Sky but I'm getting the same issue now.
Does anyone know what the fix was

Re: Blurry Netflix
I can confirm I am also having the same issue. It is as though the bitrate of Netflix is such low quality when having a HD quality subscription.
hope this can be resolved fast

Re: Netflix streaming issues
I am having the exact same issue, and had the same issue last year around the time you mentioned.
The behaviour is Netflix stream quality plays in the lowest bitrate and so the quality is very poor. If you try to reset the app it does the same thing.
As you say, the workaround is to reboot the Sky stream box or power it off and on. Then the quality goes to its normal / highest quality. This is however hugely annoying as once the box has been left idle a while and has gone into sleep or power save mode etc, or has been turned off, when you power it back on you have the same issue. So you have to remember to reboot every time you want to launch Netflix.
I hope Sky fix this; as it is a software issue. I came to take a look here as I don't think contacting customer service will do anything.

Re: Netflix streaming issues
I read that you can in the Netflix app. Select get help and then scroll down and then exit Netflix. I think this resets the app without having to turn off the box. But it's not a permanent fix

Re: Netflix streaming issues
Thanks for the tip on the meantime. I'll give it a try as it might be faster than waiting for the reboot!

Yes having the same issue on sky stream. I've raised a discussion here also.

Re: Blurry Netflix
Oh great the problem is back again.
I thought they already hacked a fix together for this as now my Netflix takes ages to open and does the intro thing etc as if it's being fully restarted every time I open it.
But over the past few days it is almost ALWAYS blurry unless I manually go to Help -> Exit Netflix and reopen it again.
Get your act together Sky.

Re: Blurry Netflix
Having the same issue.
Using the puck. Waiting does not resolve it. Hard restart is the only way
Very annoying
