In my experience the stages to a deal were......
1. Can you give me a better deal Sky?
Let's see if we can offer blah blah. OK thank you I was hoping for a better offer can you put me through to cancellations.
2. Hello Cancellations can I cancel please?
Oh no don't leave let's see if we can offer blah blah. OK thank you, hmmm yes a better offer than 5 minutes ago but I still would like to cancel. We are sorry to see you go your service will end blah blah.
Contract ending kit returned or not as required.
3. Oh Sky calling me. Hello we see you are leaving us if you stay we can offer blah blah. Oh right but why was this not offered initially I've switched to Apple TV now with NOW UHD and proper AD free no skipping nonsense for a fraction of the price and the equipment is amazing no power on and off regularly plus the quality is outstanding. Plus the TV launcher is brilliant.
Thank you Sky but your inaction at my first call has thankfully made me make a decision I see very unlikely to reverse. Must say love your Now app though via Apple 😊
Sky is expensive but they offer a lot but they also provide a lot you don't want and you pay for it. If you don't mind subscribing cancelling subscribing and cancelling to subscription services they can be so much cheaper and you watch what you want without paying for stuff you never tune into. Always horses for courses and Sky do produce and broadcast some great content and Now is still part of the family.
For now UHD AD boost entertainment and cinema I pay £10.99 a month and no Whole home or whatever it's called these days subscription required.
Good luck whatever you decide 😊
