Just a further update @KevNewMedia 

Just been watching the UHD version of This City Is Ours, stopped watching half way through the episode as I had to pop out. Came back and continued watching the episode via the continue rail and it started playing the HD version. IPlayer had reverted to the none UHD version of iPlayer.

For clarity, can you both confirm the following, please @Dazzasky @lettice ?

Does the problem happen with the beta switched on or off? As we don't support the beta version of iPlayer, we'd not be able to raise this, you'd need to report it to the BBC iPlayer team.

For me, this only happens when Beta version is set is ON.

Overnight, noticed the iPlayer app on both my Sky Stream pucks has been updated to version 35.50.1.0

Just tried switching iPlayer beta on/off and going into standby.

All UHD working fine.

I've merged this thread with an older one, so things might look a bit odd.

The details have been passed to our support teams, to investigate and resolve.

As soon as we have more information, we will let everyone know. In the meantime, I'll mark this post as the answer, so people have the most up-to-date information.

It does seem a temporary cure is to turn the iPlayer beta on or off within the BBC iPlayer app, that brings back uhd.

But, after about ten minutes of the Sky Stream box being in standby and starting up the puck, the issue returns.
