Another new to sky stream issue with 4K

Why does everything seem to work fine for a day or two with Sky?

My puck now won't play any 4K UHD HDR content.

It's mainly 1080p or just if I'm lucky, UHD.

 

I have it connected to my router via Ethernet, my speed is plenty fast enough. And all my other apps on TV and Nvidia Shield play 4K HDR no problem. 

I'm glad I've got a 4 month free trial. Because I won't be paying for this after it ends.

Have SKY given any reason for the issue? I've just started using the streaming service, I'm still in my 14days, I am already looking to cancel it.

Heard nothing from them. Wouldn't surprise me if they throttle the service at busy times and stop you getting 4K...or rather fake 4K in their case. 

 

I'm really enjoying what sky has to offer but why do they insist on producing such awful hardware. Just give us something that works 100 percent of the time and is capable.

Just tried it again on other shows and some default to 4k HDR and some don't that previously have played 4k HDR. Even changing formats doesn't help. Absolutely garbage.

It would perhaps be rather surprising if that were the case but no-one else had noticed?
