2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues
Sad to see the issues regarding the missing playlist or on demand content for Sky F1 coverage still has not been sorted for the new season.
[Removed]
I have sky sports solely for the F1 content. I do not watch any other sport.
For the past 2 years at least, Sky has failed to make some sessions available after they have been live.
It is an issue constantly raised on the Sky community forum and became noticeable to people first when switching from Sky Q to Sky stream.
Even then, as an avid fan, it was really only noticeable in races with a large time difference, like Australia, where it is sometimes better not to watch it live.
This weekend (Friday 6 March) Sky has made available FP1 and FP2, the drivers conference and the team principals conference after they streamed.
I watched FP1&2 around noon UK time on Friday.
It takes some finding in the menu with spurious season tabs and 'other' tabs and incorrect ordering chronologically.
However, expecting to watch FP3 this morning (Saturday) I was again extremely disappointed to find that it was not available in my playlist, nor through the sports menu. I have checked the scheduler for replays, there are none, it is basically repeats of the qualifying all Saturday, which I have now watched via a repeat on the schedule.
Qualifying is not available currently in my playlist.
Why is this happening and why has it not been addressed?
Surely, playlist added or not, once a show has aired live, it should be available for subscribers to stream directly off the Sky servers under the respective sports menu in the same way a box set or film would be?
Why is it not?
I am extremely unhappy that this issue has spilled over again to spoil another season of F1 when it is obvious the amount of money Sky makes having sole rights to air it live in the UK.
It is a multi-billion pounds industry that survives by attracting enormous sponsors, do these sponsors know that Sky is failing to deliver the content they advertise within to many UK viewers as the on demand aspect of the playlist often cannot be accessed to view?
It has been a known issue for too long and needs a team setting up to investigate and rectify it, AND keep customers updated on progress. There should also be partial refunds given as a courtesy.
If I could access the content legally elsewhere, I would vote with my feet which would see my £100 per month go elsewhere.
Please get it sorted out.
Yours sincerely

Live Formula 1 Missing Again
New season, same old story. Australia 'Live' FP1 & FP2 completely missing from Playlist this morning.
They're not hiding in Live Formula 1. They're not hiding in Formula 1. They're not hiding in season 1, season 2025, season 2026 or Other. They don't show up in search.
It. Shouldn't. Be. Like. This.

Re: Live Formula 1 Missing Again
Must admit since I got my two pucks in March 2024, have not had any issue with any F1 content that has been added to playlist.
Watched all cloud recordings of all the sessions and Ted Kravitz progs throughout 2024 and 2025 seasons without issue.
Have just watched the two cloud recordings of the Australia Live F1 practice 1/2 in UHD without issue.
As I have done in previous years I set my playlist cloud recordings for the F1 weekend series link from the first live showing of Live Practice 1 in the epg.
The cloud recordings do after a few weeks or so convert to the On demand full replay.
Also did the same for the Live F2 and F2 and all their practice and qualy sessions are sitting in Playlist and playing out fine as cloud recordings in UHD.
Sky Stream with two pucks via wifi (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).

Re: Live Formula 1 Missing Again
It's certainly very strange and issues have plagued live F1 since I started with glass/stream back in 2022
I've gone into my playlist and manually removed every 'series link' in relation to F1 content.
I've then added tomorrows live FP3 from the epg and lo and behold... back in playlist, FP1 & FP2 "live recordings" appear. It just doesn't make any sense. It must be some sort of legacy software glitch that is tagged onto certain old series links?

It. Shouldn't. Be. Like. This.
Just a thought, but as they are replaying the sessions, i wonder if the playlist recordings will be made available after the replays,
I have seen this before with some of the F1 events in the unsocialable hours, where after the live broadcast it disappears from the playlist until after they have broadcast the full sessions replays, and then once the replay has finished they magically once again appear on the playlist. Although if this is the case i think its a bit daft, as i don't really see the point of it asside from trying to force people to watch the linear replay broadcast.
Either way its a bit of an odd thing as it doesn't seem to affect everyone.

I have emailed viewer relations with the details below. I would suggest the more people that do, the better. Feel free to use my text if you wish.

What happens if you go back to the home page and then reopen the playlist?
I started watching the qualifying a couple of hours ago, when I opened my playlist FP1, FP2 and FP3 were there, but Qualifying wasn't. I then exited back to the home screen, went back into the Live F1 tile from my playlist and when it reloaded, the Qualifying sessions were there.

Also no qualifying anywhere.
Sports playlists generally have become a mess again. Football the order is all over the place and usually the wrong games with the wrong graphics and nowhere near date order.
P3 appeared after exiting and going back in. Qualifying is nowhere.
And I'm not going looking through Sport as Sky put spoilers everywhere.

Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues
First year for me with Sky Stream watching F1, like you I only watch F1 and currently have the rolling £15 a month offer, I'm not going to get up at silly o'clock to watch the long haul races live but was expecting to find qualifying there ready to watch first thing this morning when I got up and it was not there, I looked high and low but couldn't find it.
I looked on the schedule and saw that a rerun of qualifying was on but couldn't start from the beginning without going on the channel in the first place and then clicking play from beginning butcas it was near the end of the session I'd hear who got pole before I could do anything about it.
Absolutely ridiculous for the premium cost Sky charge and I no longer have Sky Q since moving which would of just recorded it, not happy at all and the only reason I have Sky is to watch the F1 coverage legally, are they just going out if their way to promote illegal streams because if this is the service I'm going to have to put up with paying a premium I will be giving two fingers to Sky.

Have you tried exiting the playlist and going back into it ( you may have to try this a few times ) to get the playlist to properly refresh with the available cloud recordings?

You shouldn't need to go through the Sports tile, I'd suggest trying a few times, going back into the playlist and see if it eventually refreshes and populates the qualifying session ( as it has done for your FP3 session).
What seems to be strange is how inconsistent it is being, in that I saw all the FPs but not Qualifying until i did the workaround, and you only say FP1 and FP2, and the workaround has caused FP3 to appear.

Formula 2 and 3
Despite the sprint races being on this morning they are not available on demand and other showings not available until later in the week?? These used to be available straight away last year has this changed?

Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues
Yes it's not acceptable. It's 10:45 on 7th March. Ted's Notebook showing as recorded at 7:00am on the screen but only absorbed "On this week" at 11:00 am, so I'll have to watch it then I guess. I'm inclined to just get a day pass on Now TV if this continues and ditch sky stream.

Ok, I found Ted's Notebook but had to scroll past a few of last year's races. Crazy.

Spoke too soon. Ted's Notebook catch-up is actually playing the qualifying session instead!

Re: 2026 Sky F1 catch up - the problem continues
Just for awareness, i have flagged this thread to Sky in the closed area of the forum. This will hopefully ensure that the issue with missing playlist recordings is fixed for future race weekends ( without having to do this annoying hokey-kokey workaround of going back in and out of the playlist in the hope it actually refreshes the available recordings properly).
