Won’t let my purchase on the website…

Keep trying to purchase on sky store on the website but it won't let me keeps saying I am not in the uk when I am, I am using my iPad default Safari browser.

 

Error message : You can only buy or rent in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands.

Hi @jules+x 

 

This is usually something to do with where Skystore thinks your IP address is located 

 

If you have the option to come off wifi and go on to mobile data (just for the purchase) then go back on to wifi for a download 

 

So certainly temporarily turn off a VPN if you use one 

 

Check your region setting in your iPad general settings section 

 

There is something  in privacy / location services where you need to allow safari websites to share your location. Honestly not sure if this impacts on Skystore with worth looking at and trying Chrome as a alternative 

 

Worth rebooting your ipad in case it's confused

If your iPad is connected to your home wifi then it is also worth rebooting your broadband router, leave it off for 5 minutes before powering it backup and at the same time reboot your iPad.

Had the same issue as suggested turned off Wi-Fi on my phone and ordered from phone with no issues.

I am having the same problems I got no vpn I have reset router still won't work

and @david+john - if it's a buy and keep, what happens if you try to buy it on a mobile device using 4G / 5G ?
