The sky store app

I recently downloaded the sky store can I rent/buy movie via the app or is through the tv and then goes to the app ?

For buy and keep movies it doesn't matter which way round you make the purchase as you can view them on any unique Sky store account you use.  

but for rentals - you need to rent using the platform you intend to view on.

So on the app ypu can't buy anything its via the TV or website and it goes to the app??

Is that how it works as I cant seem to see anything on the app

If you purchase a buy and keep movie using (say) Sky Q, you should be able to view that movie on the app. 

it could be that you haven't yet linked your Sky store account to your main Sky account 

if you log in to Skystore and click on "my account" you should see an option to link them

I am doing this but what im saying via the sky store app on my mobile I am seeing notning, I.e I cant see no movies or TV shows I'd like to buy or rent..

I can only see via website on the TV i use.

I'm probably being thick but I'm not 100% understanding one aspect. 

Can you see if on the link I sent earlier, are your Skystore account and your Sky TV account linked together 

if they are and you are using the same login for Skystore online and the Skystore app, all your bought movies should be visible on both.

Hi they are both linked to the sky I use.. I just want to know can I buy movies or rent movies via the app on my mobile or is it only via website and TV

I've just realised what you mean

You don't use the Skystore app itself to buy and rent movies. The app is where you view them. You buy them on Skystore online or on your TV

You can not use t6he Sky Store app to buy or rent, you have to do this via the Sky Store website here:

www.skystore.com

Then you should be able to see what you buy or rent via the Sky Store app.

Hi @skillzey 

I've no experience of the Android app as I'm on an iPhone - but certainly any movies you have bought on Skystore online - as @caesarome says, you should be able to view on your Skystore app. 

As for buying them , it's a fact you can't buy or movies direct from the IOS Skystore app. 

If anyone else is on this thread who has the android app, maybe they can say what they can see.
