Why are sky charging to watch recorded TV programs?
Do you mean newer movies from Skystore @Michaelberry ?
or something else
newer movies or movies when you don't subscribe to Sky movies, that just how things work in the movie world.

Re: Sky store
@Michaelberry What tv platform do you have
sky Q glass or stream
I'm assuming you are trying to access recordings from one of these as sky store (the board you have posted on) on charges for movies that you have either rented or purchased

Re: Sky store charges
You were asking a similar question yesterday about Skystore movies.
if you have a Sky subscription that entitles you to watch many programmes.
if you subscribe to Sky Movies that allows you to view many but not all movies.
Depending on the deals that Sky agree with the movie distributors, most newer movies and selected older ones are only available on a pay per view deal. You either pay to rent it, or pay to purchase it through Skystore.
is that what you are asking ?

Re: Sky store
@Michaelberry Some broadcasters only buy as live rights which means if you playlist the programme it will play back from whichever service holds the on demand rights which could be a subscription service you don't subscribe to
unfortunately that's the nature of streaming tv rights

Re: Sky store charges
Not sure I understand your question. Sky has always charged for movies they have yet to have the rights to show on Sky Cinema, especially recent movie releases.
Cinema and Sports has always been an additional viewing package, though I do admit as a Sports subscriber it annoys me to have to pay extra for a sporting event if I wish to watch it. There again, it's my choice to do so or wait until it can be viewed on my normal Sports channels.
If you don't want to pay for them then don't. No one is forcing you.
As for TV programmes, with the advent of streaming more companies have taken back the viewing rights so as to entice subscribers. Again, if you don't want to pay, then don't.

Re: Sky store charges
Anything in the Sky Store is chargeable whilst other content can be viewed if you have the relevant subscription in place on your account.
Edit - You asked the same question earlier today so I have merged your two topics together.
